SRR Central


Prospect

The Salt River Central area occupies the Portion 8 (Soutputs Noord) of the farm Adjoining Geelvloer No 197 and all of the farm Graafwater No. 198, which covers approximately 8 998 ha (90.0 km2) in the Northern Cape Province. The property is located due west of the Salt River deposit roughly 80 km southeast of Pofadder or 100 km southwest of Kakamas. In accordance with the new Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act of 2002 (Act No. 28 of 2002), SRR was successful in being granted a New Order Prospecting Permit over the property in October 2006 and registered with the Mineral & Petroleum Titles Registration office in October 2007.


Mineral Resource/Occurrences

Salt River-type mineralization has been identified along strike to the west of the Salt River deposit at the Graafwater East, Central and West Prospects. Likewise, sub-economic Cu mineralization has been identified at the Soutputs Noord Prospect. The Soutputs Noord Prospect is of particular interest as it may contain economic concentrations of Cu, Ni, Co, Mo and PGE’s.
